1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SnapSip (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
3. Accounts
SnapSip does not currently require account registration or login. Some data, such as favorites, settings, and usage state, may be stored locally on your device.
4. Subscription and Payments
The App may offer a free tier with limited scans and saved favorites, and a premium tier with additional or unlimited features.
Premium features may be offered through auto-renewable subscriptions or other in-app purchases. Purchases are billed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple App Store account settings.
5. AI Features
The App uses artificial intelligence, including Google Gemini, to identify bottles and ingredients from photos and to suggest cocktail recipes. AI-generated content is provided for informational and convenience purposes only.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI identifications, ingredient matches, measurements, instructions, or recipe suggestions. Always verify ingredients independently, especially for allergies, dietary restrictions, safety concerns, and alcohol content. You use AI features at your own risk.
6. Responsible Drinking
SnapSip is a recipe and reference tool. The App does not encourage excessive drinking, underage drinking, unsafe behavior, or violation of local laws. Always drink responsibly.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of photos and other content you choose to submit through the App. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process it as needed to provide and improve App features, including bottle identification and recipe recommendations.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose.
- Use the App if you are not of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the App or backend service.
- Abuse AI features or attempt to circumvent free-tier, premium, or security limits.
- Upload harmful, offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content.
- Interfere with the App's operation or another user's experience.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, content, images, interface, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written consent.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. AI identifications and recipe suggestions may contain errors.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including damages related to food or beverage preparation, consumption, ingredient identification, allergies, or reliance on App content.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App or backend service at any time if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, create security risk, or use the App unlawfully. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you may have under mandatory laws in your jurisdiction.
